Katie Bratberg

Where do you work or go to school: Freshman at SDSU
Years skating: 10 years skating
Highest personal skill levels passed:
     ISI: Freestyle 4
Years coaching: I previously coached group and private lessons for 3 years with the Yankton program.


Coaching/Testing credentials/certifications:
I am currently a certified professional coach and Bronze level judge through ISI.
Competition experience: I've competed for the last 5 years and have also coached students in competitions for the past 3 years.
Specific interests when it comes to coaching: I'm interested in coaching skaters of all ages and skill levels on a recreational or competitive level.
Professional goal(s): My goal as a coach is to help skaters reach their highest potential and goals while enjoying the sport.

Maisie Heldt

Where do you work or go to school:   I am a sophomore at SDSU studying nursing.  I work as a CNA and CMA at two different nursing homes in Brookings.
Years skating: 15
Highest personal skill levels passed:
     ISI: Freestyle 4
Years coaching: 7 years

Coaching/Testing credentials/certifications:  I have all my coaching and judging certification.  I am a bronze level judge and as a skater I am currently working on passing Freestyle 5.
Competition experience:   I have competed for about 5 years and have helped many girls with their routines and/or helping them get on the ice at competition.
Specific interests when it comes to coaching:   It is my passion to help people in any way I can.  I love to work with children and teens.  I believe skating should be a fun experience and a nice get away from life’s hardships.
Professional goal(s):  My goal in coaching is to not only teach the skills needed but to also provide a fun environment for children to just be themselves.  Skating brings out the creative side in anyone.

Where do you work or go to school: I transferred from UND to SDSU and I currently work as a supervisor at the rink part time, with coaching and serving at Swiftel on the side.

ISI: Freestyle 6
Years coaching: 3

Coaching/Testing credentials/certifications: Bronze judge
Competition experience: I was competitive myself for 7 years and I have been coaching kids in competition for 3 years.
Specific interests when it comes to coaching: I enjoy working will any level skaters and I also love choreographing new routines for competition.
Professional goal(s): My goal is to help each of my students get to their own goals in a fun and positive way.
